I have loved working with the young people at Welcome over the last 26 years. I love their curiosity, their honesty, their vitality and their openness — that we are able to encourage them and to see them encourage one another.

We have now handed GAP over to a new team of leaders which I have been asked to oversee. I consider this to be a privilege, they are a great team and I think we have some very exciting times ahead for our youth.

 

In this day and age it is sometimes difficult for youngsters to take their faith to school and build on it, but we aim to help them know that church is a safe place for them to grow, preparing them for college, Uni or work.

 

It's so important for these young people to know that they are loved by us at the Welcome, but more importantly to know that they are loved by God.
