There are two verses that embody my vision as a deacon and Treasurer:

Romans 12:1

Dear friends, God is good. So I beg you to offer your bodies to him as a living sacrifice, pure and pleasing. That's the most sensible way to serve God.

Ephesians 1:17-18

I also echo Paul’s prayer that God’s Spirit will make me wise in helping others to understand what it means to really know God, that his light will flood my heart, sharing the hope Christ gave me and to enable others to discover the glorious blessing together with all of God's people.

 

With God’s help I want to serve Him faithfully, seeking His will, walking where His Spirit leads and giving glory to God. I will strive to trust in God, our Jehovah Jira, to provide all our needs, whether spiritual or physical. I want Welcome to be a beacon of light shining for all the people in our community, showing them the way to the Father though Jesus Christ.
